Doireann Coady

It's hard to find Doireann as she is spending a lot of time in the library being a scholar. Who knows where she finds the time?

She has a few tricks up her sleeve for the next while and is letting ideas bubble away in her brain. In her head.

Doireann is one third of THEATREclub. Recently she was Assistant Designer to Lola Arias as part of Ciudades Paralelas as part of cork Midsummer Festival. At the same festival she worked with Mark Storer on Hungry Tea, durational site specific piece in a house in Blackpool in Cork city.

Doireann is also a performer, theatre director and stage designer. Stage designs for THEATREclub include; HEROIN, THE FAMILY, THEATREclub stole your CLOCK RADIO what the FUCK you gonna do about it? which she also directed. In 2010 she created and performed in MAXIMUM JOY (Can I Lick The Crumbs From Your Table?), a solo piece that she conceived and performed.

Other design work includes Loose Canon’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream? While a member of Dublin Youth Theatre, Doireann performed in The Cripple of Inis Maan (directed by David Horan) This Is Still Life (Brokentalkers) and Daily Bread (directed by Rachel West)

Doireann is currently finishing her degree in Drama and Theatre Studies from Trinity College dublin.
